SpongeBob is one of TV’s most iconic characters. Even now, the animated character is still spawning feature-length movies, and is a household name to generations. It’s still a global phenomenon, and it’s really, really cool to see Mr. Kiasu along with it.

Mr. Kiasu will undoubtedly be the first name on many Singaporeans’ lips if you ask them about the country’s most iconic comic character. He’s a caricature, an over-the-top parody of most Singaporeans, but there’s a little Mr. Kiasu in all of us. Certainly, a crossover between the two is a little bit out of the left-field, but it’s one small step for Singaporean content.
When Mr. Kiasu Meets SpongeBob Squarepants will be available exclusively at Singapore Comic Con. Two different booths, Shogakukan Asia booth (C6) and SpongeBob x Mr Kiasu booth (C4), will feature the book on sale for $18.90, along with a host of other mechandise ranging from $4.90 to $24.90. Singapore Comic Con will be in town on 7 and 8 December at Marina Bay Sands.
