Lightbox Film Festival – Rules & Regulations

The following rules govern all submissions to Lightbox Film Festival.

Entry fees

There is a one-time $5 registration fee for individual and youth (aged 18-35) representatives. Payment of this fee entitles individuals to as many submissions as they wish. Accreditation of award, and certificate of recognition will be made strictly in the name of the registering individual.

There is a $5/entry submission fee for corporate entities. This is mandatory for all entities who wish for their films to have corporate recognition, and for films owned by corporate entities.


The submission period of Lightbox Film Festival is only from 1st Nov 2020 to 16 December 2020 at 23:59 (GMT+8). Submissions received after 16th December 2020 will be rejected. 

Eligibility Criteria

All films that fall within categorical restrictions are accepted, as long as they

• Are no older than two years old as of 31st December 2020
• Have never been broadcasted on television or premiered at theatres or other public broadcast avenues
• Have not had rights to broadcast and screening transferred to a third party

Films that have previously been submitted to other film festivals will be accepted. 

All entries must be from Singapore. 

Films will not be accepted if you do not own them in their entirety. Lightbox Film Festival will not be held accountable where ownership disputes are concerned. Upon submission, you retain initial ownership of all your films.

Submitting your films to Lightbox Film Festival means that you agree to all of the above Rules & Regulations. Failure to adhere to them will result in disqualification.
